It's more tangible if I put effort into it, and I'm already writing some material. The only hurdle I have to get over is myself. I'm ridiculously shy when I meet new people and my stage fright is atrocious. I once tried out for a play in high school. I could feel my entire face turning red as I stammered and struggled to read two lines. After that, I never tried out for an acting part again.
I don't need some "reality show" to invade my privacy and have some Joe Blow "expert" tell me how to do this that and the other thing in a short period of time then throw me to the wolves as a test of what I've learned. That's just stupid. If I want to do something, I'm going to do it myself.
My plan is already layed out. All I need is motivation and discipline and I'll be on my way to being Lumber Jackie (my stage name needs a little work).
